Humanitarian Award

Devangi Dalal is best known for being the first Indian audiologist to win the Humanitarian award” by the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) in 2012 in Boston (USA). Dalal has been working passionately and tirelessly as an audiologist and speech therapist for 25 years now. Mother of two gifted girls, wife of a successful businessman and a successful audiologist in Mumbai, Devangi could have had an easy and privileged life. However she chooses to dedicate her life to bringing a better quality of life to the less fortunate hearing impaired children in India. She along with a very well known ENT surgeon Dr. Jayant Gandhi started an NGO, Josh foundation , where they fitted till now hearing aids to 700+ children as per the requirement. She also supports six schools in Maharashtra and Gujarat, where she has a regular visit and help them fitting hearing aids in association with the schools. All her deeds for the humanity were taken in regard when she was nominated and then presented with one of the most honorable award for an Audilogist, ‘The Humanitarian award’ by the American Academy of Audiology in 2012.
